Every time zone you care about,
in your menu bar

Clocks in the menu bar

Add as many as you like from a 34,000-city search and put them in any order. Glance up and the time is already there, with no window to open and nothing to interrupt.

A format that suits your Mac

Show the day of the week, the date, seconds and the time-zone code, in 12 or 24-hour time. When the bar runs short the clock shortens itself rather than disappearing.

Convert any moment

Drag the ruler and every clock moves with it, with day and night marked, so you can find the hour that works everywhere before you send the invitation.

A planner that writes to your calendar

See your real events beside the local time in every zone, drag to create a meeting, and save it straight to Calendar. It only ever creates the event you asked for.

Day and night on the map

Every clock pinned to a world map with the daylight line where it actually falls. Drag the map to move through the day and watch the terminator sweep with it.

A moon almanac, city by city

Phase and illumination, moonrise and moonset, distance, the next full moon, and a month calendar, worked out for whichever clock you are looking at.

Every part of the menu bar clock is optional. Turn each one on or off in Settings, and Simply Zone works out how much room it has and shortens itself to fit rather than being dropped by macOS.

Meeting planner

Find the hour that works for everyone

The planner puts your real calendar beside the local time in every zone you track, so a slot that looks fine in London is visibly the middle of the night in Sydney before you send anything. Drag across the grid to create a meeting and it saves straight to Calendar. Simply Zone asks macOS for calendar access, reads your events on your Mac, and creates only the event you asked it to.

Your Mac. Nothing leaves it.

Simply Zone makes no network connections at all. There is no server to talk to, no account to create, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Your clocks and your settings live on your Mac, and when the planner reads your calendar it reads it here and nowhere else.

Your zones on the desktop

Add the Simply Zone widget from the widget gallery and your clocks sit on the desktop as an analogue face beside a digital list. It reads the same clocks as the menu bar, so adding a city in one place updates both. Small and medium sizes are supported.

Questions

Good to know

What does Simply Zone cost?

US$1.99 on the US storefront, paid once, with Apple's local equivalent everywhere else. That buys all of it: unlimited clocks, the menu bar display and its formatting, the converter, the planner, the map, the moon almanac and the desktop widget. There is no in-app purchase, no subscription and no advertising, so nothing asks you for money again.

Why does it want access to my calendar?

Only the meeting planner uses it, and only if you allow it. With permission it reads your events so it can show when you are busy, and it creates an event when you ask it to. Calendar data is read on your Mac and never leaves it, and the rest of the app works without the permission.

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. Simply Zone lives in the menu bar rather than the Dock, so after launch you will find it as a clock on the right-hand side of the bar.
