Import
Import and format guide
Simply Zone reads any plain-text (.txt) file. A little formatting helps it detect sections and entries accurately.
Basic requirements
- Plain .txt format only, saved as UTF-8.
- Separate entries with a blank line.
Section detection
Simply Zone finds sections automatically when titles stand on their own line in capitals.
- Put each section title in CAPITALS on its own line.
- Supported formats include SECTION I, SECTION ONE, and 01 MY SECTION TITLE.
- For mixed files, use an all-caps title above each group (for example, SHOPPING).
Optional: table of contents
- Include a CONTENTS section listing the section titles.
- A table of contents improves section-detection accuracy.
Exports from other apps
- Most apps can export a plain-text file; that export is what to import here.
- Headers, footers and separator lines are removed automatically on import.
Example
Put together, it looks like this:
SECTION ONE The first line of the example, kept short enough to read comfortably on a phone. A blank line starts a new block. SECTION TWO The example continues here.
